We are excited to announce that, as of fall 2022, all athletes that train with Velo Baseball will be utilizing PULSE Throw wearable workload monitors as a key part of their training plans.
PULSE provides athletes with real-time workload monitoring and insights that can assist in injury prevention and building arm strength.
The sensor’s physics engine interprets measures elbow torque and arm speed among other metrics to give invaluable feedback on how you hard you should push your throwing within a given workout. All of this information is relayed to our team of trainers via the PULSE Dashboard and allows us the ability to monitor the health of your arm. Ultimately, this tech allows us to make highly informed decisions on drill selection, activation and recovery protocols as well as training intensity.
We are thrilled to be able to offer this technology to all athletes that train with us and can’t wait to implement it over the course of the next few months.
All current trainees will have until September 1st, 2022 to purchase the necessary equipment. New trainees will begin using the tech immediately. Any current trainees that wish to begin utilizing the technology immediately are strongly encouraged to do so.
