New: Velocity Development Program

Fastball velocity has always been one of the most polarizing measurements in assessing a pitcher’s talent and worth to an organization. However, velocity it is not the only measure taken in to consideration by scouts and coaches. They also consider work ethic; “Does he work hard when nobody is there telling him what to do? Is he focused during his throwing work or is he just chatting with his friends?” They consider knowledge of the game (baseball IQ); “Can he think his way through an outing? Can he change his approach to hitters as the game progresses?” Amongst many other things there are certain intangible factors that scouts assess that you will not see on a radar gun.

That being said, velocity does increase visibility of pitchers to those scouts and coaches. Simply, velocity creates opportunity in the game of baseball. It gets you seen.

The Velocity Development Program takes a holistic approach to increasing fastball velocity. By taking a multi-faceted approach to increasing fastball velocity, athletes will be exposed to a wide range of training modalities, including:

  • Weighted ball training

  • High-intent throwing program

  • Mobility training

  • Stability training

  • Weight training

  • Body awareness training

  • Arm care protocols

The velocity development program does more than just develop velocity, it develops well rounded athletes and instills a work ethic that coaches will notice. The end goal in participating in this program is not just to see an increase of velocity on the radar gun, but also see an increase in work ethic, grit and self-awareness that ultimately all plays a role in moving you on to higher levels of the game.

IS THIS PROGRAM THE RIGHT FIT FOR YOU?

This program is intended for players that have a burning desire to pitch at a higher level of the game. Pitchers that do not share this goal are not suitable for this program as they will not fit the culture of the program. Pitchers enrolling in the program should be ready to make a full commitment to becoming the most complete pitcher they can be. Consider the following questions when making the decision to participate:

“Am I willing to commit 100% of my effort to becoming a better pitcher and a better athlete?”

“Am I willing to make some personal sacrifices in order to ensure I attend all sessions?”

“Am I doing this out of my own desire to become a better pitcher and not my parents’ desire?”

“Am I going to support the other athletes in the program?”

“Do I want to play college or professional baseball?”

If you answered “Yes” to all of the questions above then this program is a good fit for you.
